Tawana Bailey serves as the Director of Development for East Arkansas Family Health Center (EAFHC), where she leads strategic marketing, public relations, and community engagement initiatives across 12 clinic sites. Through her work, she is dedicated to increasing visibility, strengthening partnerships, and advancing access to quality healthcare throughout the region.
A native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Tawana earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications with a minor in Criminal Justice from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She is a passionate advocate for community health and has played a key role in building a culture of advocacy within EAFHC—helping the organization become the first designated Advocacy Center of Excellence in Arkansas.
Prior to joining EAFHC, Tawana served as Director of Community Outreach for the City of West Memphis, where she launched impactful initiatives such as Park & Walk, fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and residents, and the #9pmRoutine, a public safety campaign aimed at reducing vehicle theft. Her leadership contributed to the city receiving the 2021 Arkansas Trendsetter Award for Public Safety and being named Volunteer Community of the Year in both 2021 and 2022. She was also honored as the City of West Memphis Employee of the Year in 2019.
Beyond her professional role, Tawana is deeply engaged in community leadership. She leads the Good Neighbor Love Center, serves as Board President of the West Memphis Chamber of Commerce, and is Co-Chair of Bright Futures Marion. She also mentors youth as a Girl Scout troop leader and is a past President of the West Memphis Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Tawana is a graduate of Crittenden County Leadership (2018), was recognized as an Arkansas Business 40 Under 40 honoree in 2022, and continues to invest in leadership development through programs including Leadership Arkansas, UCLA, and The Policy Circle.
Through her work and service, Tawana brings a strong commitment to connection, advocacy, and community impact—helping strengthen partnerships and improve outcomes across Crittenden County and the Arkansas Delta.
